Participation in the local chapter offers members special opportunities to learn, get to know
other stitchers in the area, and share efforts with a most appreciative group. Programs, field trips, national teacher workshops,
show and tell of projects (completed or in progress) and fellowship with other stitchers are the key components of Saguaro Stitchers
Chapter.
Being a member of Saguaro Stitchers Chapter also involves being a member of the national organization (ANG) of which there are many more benefits such as: the focus on educational and cultural development through the art of needlepoint; the bi-monthly magazine which contains educational articles, projects, book reviews, stitching techniques, and much more; there are national seminars each year; and a website for illustrated explanations of various needlepoint techniques, as well as regularly updated information on all ANG educational opportunities, links to local chapters, a calendar of events, and more. Membership in ANG is open to all stitchers, amateur and professional, novice and experienced, and everything in between. The only criterion for membership is a love of needlepoint and a desire to learn more about this popular art.
